Nicky Hayward: In this age of disingenousness and misinformation, it's next to impossible to pick out one issue to write about. I guess a logical place to start is looking at life-changing experiences that affect us closely, where we realise others in a similar boat are struggling to make sense of their changed circumstances too. I hope the research I've done and some of the consequent insights I've had will provide a shortcut for, and be helpful to, you.
